When the general people of the country severely arrested by poverty, illiteracy, ill health, unemployment, unusual death and sufferings due to natural calamities like drought, floods and aridity, over rainfalls and lack of incapability to proper treatment, people were groping in the dark to meet up their fundamental needs like food, shelter and clothes. When the total environment was polluted by over exploitation resulting the unhealthy condition to live in the youth of the country are decimated from the path of the peaceful life. As a whole the economy of the country is seriously under threatened. Like other NGO’s PURNIMA appears to play an important role in the socio economic development of the country besides the government programs. Purnima has bee working since 1980 for developing and promoting active citizenship among civil society members including community people with special emphasis to the poor, women, youth and minorities.  It has got registration from Minister of Social Welfare Office of Khulna district in 1981 and took part itself in the social works like helping of flood victims, distribution of the warm clothes to the poor and the widows, provide books to the poor students and training to the helpless and distressed women to develop their skill, especially on tailoring, administered adult education along with the motivation and awareness building program. During Ramadan Purnima has tried their best to provide balanced diet to the fasting people in urban and rural area. They have also provided legal aid to the people those who are oppressed by locally powerful devil hands. Thus Purnima emerged as a voluntary organization with the following objectives and tried heart and soul to establish itself as development assistant of the country. The meaning of PURNIMA is full moon. We are trying to enlight brightly every where depriving excluding.
